David S. Alvarez is a Native American of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona with 24-years’ experience in casino and food and beverage operations. A self-motivated hospitality professional with senior management experience in operations, project management, strategic planning, budget analysis and forecasting, F&B marketing, new start-up and business development. Leads associates to offer their own exceptional skills and talents and collaborate as a team to achieve the company’s goals and objectives. Creates and implements innovative programs to increase profit margins and productivity.

Over 11 productive years at Casino Del Sol Resort, Tucson AZ, David was promoted from Assistant F&B Director to Director F&B to Vice President, Food and Beverage. He played a key role in repositioning the Casino Del Sol Resort brand and launching a $120 million expansion with a new hotel in the existing Casino. David hired and developed a new operations team to oversee 550 associates (including 15 chefs and 22 managers), banquet-concert venue, 9 dining outlets, 5 themed bars, 2 quick-service outlets, room service, 2 Starbucks and a convenience store. He implemented service training in multiple restaurants including a fine-dining steakhouse which earned the Forbes Four Star for five consecutive years. The restaurant and hotel expansions resulted in a $40 million increase in annual revenue.

Previously, David’s made an important career decision to transfer from Slot Supervisor to pursue a career in hospitality and food service at Casino of the Sun in Tucson AZ. He was promoted from Assistant F&B Manager to Food and Beverage Manager over 7 years which prepared him for director-department head level responsibility.

David attended Pima Community College, Tucson AZ, and received the Certificate for Hotel Restaurant Management Certificate. He has continued at American Academy of Independent Studies and earned Certificates in Supervision & Management, Nutrition, Sanitation & Safety. Oher Management Training-Certificates include F&B Manager Bootcamp, Negotiation Seminar, OSHA Compliance, HR Personnel Law for Managers; Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively.
